Mary Harrison, FNP-C

Mary Harrison, FNP-C is a native Texan who has called Austin home for the last seven years. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing from the University of Texas-Health Science Center in Houston and went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing with a major in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to earning her nursing degrees, she received her Bachelor’s Degree of Psychology from the University of Houston. Mary began her career as a Registered Nurse in a Pediatric Level 1 trauma center followed by years of experience as a Pediatric Rheumatology and Neurology infusion nurse. Mary Harrison is board certified by the Texas Board of Nursing and upholds memberships in multiple professional associations including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and Texas Nurse Practitioners. Mary has a passion for pediatrics, women’s health, bioidentical hormone therapy, integrative and family medicine with an overall focus on disease prevention and health promotion. She believes a person’s health and happiness is within their grasp given the right tools and education.

Mary is a certified thrill seeker and spends as much time as she can skiing black diamonds in Colorado, river rafting, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family. Mary and her husband Mark have three grown children and look forward to the day they become grandparents.

Jessica Somerville, FNP-C

Jessica Somerville, FNP-C earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science Studies from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She then received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Jessica began her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse in high-risk delivery units in Houston and then in Austin. Jessica returned to get her Master of Science in Nursing with a major in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Ms. Somerville is board certified by the Texas Board of Nursing and upholds her membership in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Texas Nurse Practitioners. Jessica has a passion for women’s health, pediatrics, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, integrative and functional medicine, and preventative care across the lifespan.

Jessica was raised in Central Austin. She loves spending time on Lake Austin, walking Town Lake, playing tennis and pickle ball, watching English Premier League, spending time with her family, and traveling.

Cynthia Fafel, NP-C

Cynthia Fafel, AGPCNP-BC, is a board certified Nurse Practitioner, with specialized training in geriatrics. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also a member of multiple professional associations, including Golden Key International Honors Society, American Nurses Association, Texas Nurse Practitioners, and Austin Advanced Practice Nurses. She began her nursing career as an ICU nurse at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center before switching gears to learn more about preventative and functional medicine as an RN at Westlake Medical Arts. Cynthia has a passion for all aspects of integrative and functional primary care, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, family medicine including adolescent pediatrics, and empowering her patients to reach optimal health.

Outside of work, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her husband of 30 years, playing with her fur babies, boating, cooking, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with her two adult sons.

Jeremy D. Wiseman, MD

Dr. Jeremy D. Wiseman received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas, in 1998, and his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas, in 2006. Dr. Wiseman completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio-McAllen Family Practice Residency Program as of June 2009. The doctor has an avid interest in general family medicine, as well as pediatrics, women’s health, functional medicine, preventive medicine, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, alternative medicine, weight loss, integrative medicine, and sports medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians. He is a former member of the Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners.

In his free time, Dr. Wiseman enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and traveling.

Jennifer Seay, LAc

Jennifer Seay, LAc received her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas. She is licensed by the Texas Medical Board, Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners, and board certified through the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is experienced in treating a wide range of health issues and concerns using acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and manual bodywork therapies such as cupping. Jennifer especially enjoys working with her patients on pain management, women’s health, anxiety, and depression.

Outside of work, she spends her time reading, knitting, and playing music in the company of her dog, Cozy, and cat, Scully.
